CSMCRI is a premier national laboratory under CSIR, New Delhi. The Institute undertakes a wide range of basic and applied R&D projects spanning the areas of chemistry, biology and engineering. The Institute has excellent infrastructure by way of sophisticated analytical instruments, modern laboratories, pilot plants, library, local area network and workshop.
Applications are invited in the prescribed form from talented and result-oriented Indian Nationals for 10 posts of Scientists (4 in PB-4 and 6 in PB-3) in the areas of Salt & Marine Chemicals, Wasteland Research, Public Relations, Planning, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Science Dissemination in Hindi and Energy Research, respectively.

Post: Discipline Coordinator - Wasteland Research (Pay Band 4) (UR)
Job requirement: The job entails providing inspiring leadership to a team of researchers and technical staff engaged in different aspects of research on plants and agriculture practices relevant to wasteland development.The candidate must be an accomplished researcher in this area with ability to attract projects and possessing leadership qualities.
Essential Educational Qualification and Experience: Ph. D. in the area of Agronomy/Agricultural Engineering/Agricultural Science with minimum additional 3 years/6years relevant experience for consideration at Principal Scientist/Senior Principal Scientist level

Post: Head – Public Relations and Science Communication (Pay Band 4 ) (UR)
Job Requirement: The selected candidate must have strong grasp of multi-disciplinary R&D activities and be responsible for all manner of public relations, including preparation of exhibition material and showcasing of the science and technologies developed at the Institute; preparation of annual report, technical brochures, etc. ;interfacing with clients, visitors, media, and dignitaries; responding to inquiries and information sought from different quarters including under RTI.
Essential Educational Qualification and Experience: Ph. D. in Science/Engineering/Management discipline with minimum additional 3 years/6years relevant experience in science communication for consideration at Principal Scientist/Senior Principal Scientist level.

Post: Head - Planning & Project Management Cell (Pay Band 4) (UR)
JOB REQUIREMENT: The selected candidate will develop in-depth understanding of the activities of the Institute and be responsible for liaising with central Planning Division of CSIR; preparation of plan documents in consultation with scientists and management; compilation of progress reports; identification of resource and infrastructure requirements across all disciplines; drawing up of action plan for HRD; maintenance of up-to-date data bases; timely compliance with all statutory reporting.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Ph. D. in Management/Economics/Science/Engineering with minimum additional 3 years/6years teaching/research/working experience in statistical methods/project management tools/planning for consideration at Principal Scientist/Senior Principal Scientist level.

Post: Scientist - Science Dissemination in Hindi (Pay Band – 3) (Reserved for ST).
Job Requirement: The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the Hindi Cell and intensifying knowledge dissemination through Hindi to reach out to the masses. The candidate will also be accountable for statutory compliance in this area.
Essential Educational Qualification and Experience: For the post of Scientist: ME/M.Tech. or Ph.D (Submitted) in science stream; for the post of Senior Scientist: ME/M.Tech with 3 years experience or Ph. D. (Engg.) or Ph.D. in science stream with 2 years experience. Candidates who apply must have a flair for scientific communication both in Hindi and English.
