APPOINTMENTS

Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM) is an autonomous organization promoted by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India and co-sponsored by the Commodity Boards, viz. Tea Board, Coffee Board, Rubber Board, Spices Board and Plantation Associations viz. UPASI and Indian Tea Association. IIPM has been conceived as a world renowned academic institution focusing in the field of agri-business, plantations, commodity and management education.

Institute offers 24 months AICTE-MHRD-GOI approved Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM): Agri-Business & Plantation Management (ABPM), conducts executive development programmes and also undertakes an intensive sector-specific research assignments in the North East and proposes to Tea Board of India, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, GOI, sponsored Professional Certificate Programs (PCP) on Tea Tasting & Marketing (TTM) and PCP on Tea Estate Management. The Institute is seeking applications from scholars and practitioners with outstanding research, academic, executive management education programmes and administrative expertise for IIPM Centre, Jorhat, on deputation and/or contractual basis for a period of two years, for the position of Associate Professors/Assistant Professors in management and related disciplines.

 Pay Scales and Eligibility Criteria for IIPM Faculty Positions

 A) DIRECTOR: Rs. 80,000 (Fixed)

B) PROFESSOR: (PB-4) Pay Band Rs.37400-67000+AGP Rs.10500*

QUALIFICATION: Ph.D. in appropriate branch with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 10 years teaching/research/industrial experience of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor.

C) ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR :( PB-4) Pay Band Rs.37400-67000+AGP Rs.9500 *

QUALIFICATION: Ph.D. in appropriate branch with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 6 years teaching/research/ industrial experience of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor.

D) ASSISTANT PROFESSOR: (PB-3) Pay Band Rs.15600-39100+AGP Rs.8000 *

QUALIFICATION: Ph.D. in appropriate branch with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree with a very good academic record throughout and at least 3 years of teaching/research/ Industrial experience.

E) SENIOR LECTURER: (PB-3) Pay Band Rs.15600-39100+AGP Rs.7000

QUALIFICATION: Ph.D with 4 years experience as Lecturer. M.Phil with 5 years experience as Lecturer and for others 6 years experience as Lecturer.

F) LECTURER: (PB-3) Pay Band Rs. 15600-39100+AGP Rs.6000

QUALIFICATION: Appointment at this level may be made as Lecturer-cum-Post Doctoral Fellow on contract basis from out of young Ph.Ds to teach and earn experience.

G) ACADEMIC ASSOCIATE: Fixed salary of Rs. 15,000 - Rs. 25,000 p.m. (For experienced candidates, pay will be protected)

QUALIFICATION: First class Masters Degree in the concerned discipline.

DESIRABLE: Experience in graduate level teaching (or) equivalent.

*For practitioners, everything else being equal with professional Post Graduate degree and experience in plantation & agribusiness and general management. Other norms are on par with IIMs.
