WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
It is proposed to fill up the temporary and time bound positions of Research Associate and Senior Research Fellow on contractual basis under the following projects. The eligible and desirous candidates fulfilling all the requirements are invited to appear before the Selection Committee for interview at V.P.K.A.S. (ICAR), Almora on 28.09.2011 at 10.00 AM.
1. HMNEH MM-I project on “Training in mechanization of horticulture”
NAME OF POST: Research Associate (1 post)
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: Master degree in farm machinery and power or Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
EXPERIENCE: Working knowledge of Auto CAD/ProE CAD software.
2. HMNEH MM-I project on “Purification and Seed Multiplication of Underutilized Important Hill Vegetables”
NAME OF POST: Senior Research Fellow (1 post)
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: M.Sc. in Vegetable Science/Horticulture/Seed Technology
EXPERIENCE: Work experience in vegetable crop/vegetable breeding.
3. HMNEH MM-I project on “Integrated Crop Management in Mango”
NAME OF POST: Senior Research Fellow (1 post)
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: M.Sc. in Horticulture/Vegetable Science/Seed Technology
EXPERIENCE: Work experience in hill conditions.
4. Enabling small holders to improve their livelihoods and benefit from carbon finance under NAIP Component – I of ICAR
NAME OF POST: RA/SRF (1 post)
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: M.Sc. /M.Sc. (Ag.) in Agronomy/Agroforestry/ Horticulture (Pomology) with 1st division.
Two years research experience from fellowship/ associateship/trainingship and/or published papers in standard journals (for RA only).
DESIRABLE:
i) Ph.D in Agronomy/Agroforestry/Horticulture (Pomology) (for RA only)
ii) Experience in working with farmers in rural areas
iii) Experience in use of Microsoft Office (word, excel, power point)
EMOLUMENTS FOR RA/SRF
EMOLUMENTS FOR RA – ` 23,000/- + HRA per month for Master Degree.
- 24,000/- + HRA per month for Ph.D. holders.
EMOLUMENTS FOR SRF – ` 16,000/- + HRA per month.
AGE LIMIT FOR RA/SRF
RA: The upper age limit is 40 years for men and 45 years for women on the date of interview (relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBC as per GOI/ICAR norms)
SRF: The upper age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women on the date of interview (relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBC as per GOI/ICAR norms)
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. The posts are purely temporary on contractual basis and co-terminus with the projects.
2. The applicants must bring their bio-data (affixed with recent passport size photograph) along with original and photocopies of mark sheets and certificates of all examinations passed.
3. No T.A. will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
4. The selection of candidates doesn’t entail on them any right for absorption/ regularization at VPKAS (ICAR), Almora or any other sister concern including ICAR Headquarter.
5. The Director’s decision will be final and binding in all respects.
