PROJECT TITLE: “Ballast Water Management Programme India (BAMPI) at eight major ports of India
DURATION: initially for the period of one year (likely to be extended to five years).
The project involves port biological baseline survey of the eight major ports with specific reference to demersal fish fauna.
1. POST: Research Associate
NO.OF POSITIONS: 1
ELIGIBILITY: (1) Research Associate: Ph.D. in Marine Science with evidence of published work in fisheries. The candidate should have sufficient experience in demersal fish and crustacean taxonomy, and to participate in onboard trawl to collect biological samples.
Fellowship: Rs. 20,000/- per month
2. POST: Research Assistant
NO.OF POSITIONS: 2 posts
ELIGIBILITY: Research Assistant: M.Sc. with specialization in Marine Sciences, Marine Biology, M.F.Sc., Biotechnology, Microbiology, Zoology, Biosciences.
NET/UGC qualified candidates will be preferred.
FELLOWSHIP: Rs. 12,000/- per month.
