 SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME

Biotechnology has been growing very rapidly and its development has covered almost every sector and it is one of the young courses in the education sphere. The importance and significance of biotechnology can be understood by the fact that it has made huge development in the very few spans of time and its development has been associated with almost every field.

BHD-2011, a Science Academies Lecture Workshop focusing on recent advancements on the frontier areas of Biotechnology, will bring together eminent scientists from across the country to deliberate on global developments in health and disease. The scientific program would comprise of plenary and invited lectures and the content will be global in scope with a blend of national and regional speakers recognized for achievements in their respective fields. We are confident that the BHD-2011 lecture workshop will provide a rich educational forum with multiple presentations and events for all of you that will enhance your research in Biotechnology.

The scientific program would comprise of plenary and invited lectures from the nationally eminent experts. Lecture sessions will be focusing in the following headings:  

1)         Mechanism of Chromosomal Translocations in Cancer

2)         Traditional, Modern and Futuristic Vaccines

3)         Cell Targetted Therapy using Plant toxins

4)         Reverse vaccinology: from genome to vaccine

5)         Molecular Dynamics Simulation Approach for Influenza-A Haemagglutinin

6)         Nano-enabled Drug Delivery Systems

7)         Genomics of Type 2 Diabetes

ELIGIBILITY TO ATTEND: M. Sc, M. Phil, Ph. D scholars and faculty from Life Sciences are eligible to attend.

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS - 100 (on the basis of first come first in)

REGISTRATION FEES: No registration fees to attend this lecture workshop.

A classic lunch will be provided.

Registration forms need to be forwarded through Head of the Department/ Institution. Selected participants will be notified through email.
