Research Bioanalyst position at MD Anderson Cancer Center
The position of bioanalyst is a new career track within bioinformatics. This position will focus on the biological interpretation of molecular data (in terms of pathways, ontologies, published literature, etc.).
Requirements include:
· Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in a field of biology, biomedical science, biostatistics or bioinformatics
· Strong computer skills, including programming (experience with R or Bioconductor programming)
· One or more years of experience directly relevant to bioinformatics in medical research (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, sequence analysis, etc.)
· Experience in the analysis and interpretation of high-throughput molecular data
· Excellent communication skills
· Experience writing reports and analytical sections of grant applications (preferred)
