The Institute of Bioinformatics
and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB) has started a two-year post-graduate course
(M.Sc. in ‘Bioinformatics and Biotechnology’) in 2011. Details can be found at

IBAB invites applications for the
position of instructors (3 positions) to help in conducting the laboratory
courses of the M.Sc. programme.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Instructors are expected to be in
charge of the graduate teaching laboratories. They would be responsible for the
maintenance of the laboratories and for conducting laboratory courses in consultation
with the resident faculty members. They are also expected to provide help in
the design and discharge of the laboratory curriculum and evaluation of
students.
ELIGIBILITY:
Applicants for the instructor
position must have an M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences or a M.Tech. in Biotechnology.
Experience with model organisms such as Drosophila and C. elegans is preferred.
Experience in cell culture,
microbiology, biochemistry and/or molecular biology is highly desired.
MODE OF SELECTION:
Selection of the candidates will
be on the basis of their academic credentials and performance in an interview
