ADVERTISEMENT FOR SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW - (1)

Applications are invited for One (1) post of Senior Research Fellow and One (1) post of Project Assistant funded by the DBT to work on the project entitled “Role and regulation of ceruloplasmin in glial cells in response to norepinephrine”. The project may need rigorous work on mammalian cells and in the areas of gene expression and signalling pathways. The preference will be given to the candidate who has excellent experience on techniques on molecular/cell biology related to RNA protein interactions.  The duration of the project is up to February, 2015. Selected candidate will be evaluated year to year basis and extension will be granted only after satisfactory progress after each year.

Qualifications:

Essential: M.Sc. or equivalent in any branch of biological sciences with experience (more than 2 yrs) in the area of mammalian gene expression, RNA-protein interaction.

Desirable: At least one publication OR proof of submitted manuscript in the related area in peer reviewed journal.

Fellowship: Rs. 14000/- per month +30% HRA

Applications are invited for One (1) post of Project Assistant funded by the DBT in the project entitled “Role and regulation of ceruloplasmin in glial cells in response to norepinephrine”.  The duration of the project is up to February, 2015. The selected candidate will be appointed purely on temporary basis. 

Qualifications:

Essential: Graduate in any field with more than 5 years experience in management of International and National projects. 

Work Experience: Experience in office correspondence, laboratory maintenance (including day-to-day basis experimental supply), grant management, knowledge of GFR. 

Salary: Rs. 8000/-

Applications are invited for One (1) post of Research Associate funded by Indo-US BRCP project entitled: “Role of brain ferroxidases in AD and sCJD pathogenesis”. The project is extendable up to two years (extendable after every 6 months) 

Qualifications:

Essential: Ph. D. or equivalent in any branch of biological sciences with experience in the area of mammalian gene expression/proteomics/iron biology/neurobiology. 

Desirable: At least one publication in the relevant area in the peer reviewed journal 

Fellowship: Rs. 22000/- per month + 30% HRA
