Applications are invited for the post of “Junior Research Fellow (JRF)” in the DST sponsored Research project entitled “Development of Low Cost Magnetic and Nonmagnetic Biochars for Water Defluoridation”. The work involves field and laboratory investigations.
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc in Chemistry/Environmental Sciences
Desirable Qualifications: Strong desire to work on the development of Biochars and their applications in water purification with good knowledge of routine analytical techniques. Candidates having relevant experience in the area of water/wastewater treatment, surface chemistry, adsorption, biochar development, activated carbon chemistry, Defluoridation will be preferred. CSIR/UGC/NET qualified candidate will be preferred
Fellowship: As per DST norms
The project is valid for a period of TWO years (w.e.f.  June 19, 2012).The selected candidate will be appointed on purely temporary basis initially for a period of one year but likely to be extended depending on the performance and project duration or till his service are required by the Project Director or till the validity of the project, whichever is earliest. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates called for interview.
