The Institute of Microbial Technology, a constituent establishment of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India, wishes to recruit Research Associate, Project Assistant’s on temporary basis to work in various sponsored/networked projects in this Institute as per details given below:

1.POST: RESEARCH ASSOCIATE -  (01 position)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: Ph.D. or M.Tech. with 3 years experience in Life Science, Immunology, Biotechnology,  Molecular Biology, Zoology, Cell Biology, Bio-informatics, Onco-biology.

DESIRABLE: Practical research experience with techniques related to Molecular Biology, Bio-Chemistry, Microbiology, Cellular Immunology and  Tissue culture.

STIPEND: Rs. 22,000/-  plus HRA @ 20%p.m.

AGE LIMIT:  35 years as on   10.05.2012

2.  POST: PROJECT ASSISTANT (03 Positions)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: 1st Class M.Sc in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Zoology, Cell Biology.

DESIRABLE:-Working experience with techniques  related to Cellular Immunology and  Tissue Culture.

STIPEND: Rs. 16,000/-   

AGE LIMIT: 28 years  as on  10.05.2012

Besides, the institute also wishes to draw a panel of Project Assistants/Project Fellows as per details given below to fill up future vacancies as arise from        time to time under sponsored projects. Panel will be operative for a maximum period of one year from the date of interview or another interview is conducted by the Institute.

 1. POST: PROJECT ASSISTANTS/PROJECT FELLOWS

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: 1st Class M.Sc in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biochemistry,   Immunology, Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Zoology, Cell Biology,

DESIRABLE: Practical research experience in the areas mentioned above.                                                                                

STIPEND:  - Rs. 16,000/-, Rs. 12,000/-, Rs. 10,000/-, Rs. 8000/- depending upon sanction of                     sponsoring agency.

AGE LIMIT- 28 years  as on  10.05.2012(Relaxation in case of SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped will be as per GOI Rules).

The engagement as a Project Assistant/Research Associate in the projects is purely on temporary basis maximum for the period of duration of the project.  However, appointment will initially be offered for a period of one year and will be extended yearly basis till the duration of the project depending on the satisfactory performance of the incumbent.  The appointment can be terminated by either side by giving one month’s notice.  Total duration of project assistantship in CSIR Laboratories is maximum of 5 years.  Therefore, if an incumbent switches between the projects, the appointment will terminate on the day he/she completes 05 years as a Research Associate/Project Assistant.  Please note that it is not an IMTECH/CSIR appointment and will not confer any right of the incumbent to any claim implicit or explicit or any position. Number of positions may vary.

Such of the candidates who fulfils the eligibility conditions may please  Walk in for interview on 10.05.2012 (Thursday) at 9.30 a.m. Sharp  in the Seminar Hall of this Institute along with complete bio-data duly signed  enclosing therewith photocopies of certificates/testimonials in support of date of birth, qualification/ experience etc. and affixed with latest passport size photograph on it.  Original certificates are  also required to be produced  at the time of interview.  No TA will be paid for attending the interview.

Note: Result awaited/Thesis submitted candidates are not eligible for interview.
