Subject: Advertisement for the award of Junior Research Fellow and Senior Research Fellow

Applications are invited for award of five Junior Research Fellow and three Senior Research Fellow on a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 12000/- and 14000- pm respectively in the project entitled “Programme Mode Support in Agricultural Biotechnology, Phase- II ”, under the Coordinatorship of Dr. Anil Kumar and Co-Coordinatorship of Dr. Sandeep Arora. The programme mode Support has four sub-projects as given below:

1. “Functional Validation of MAPK-3 gene and phospho-proteomic studies for induction of defense against Alternaria blight disease in Brassica”

2. “Genetic Enhancement of aromatic rice landraces through molecular breeding to develop high yielding, ideal plant type, blast resistance and better quality aromatic rice varieties for wider adoptability by farmers”

3. “Molecular characterization of calcium signaling and transport machinery of finger millet (Eleusine coracana) towards development of superior genotypes and nutraceuticals for calcium biofortification”

The fellowship is purely temporary and may continue till the duration of the project or maximum six months which ever is earlier. The appointment shall be extended on six monthly review basis.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION

For Junior Research Fellowship: M. Sc. Biotechnology/ M.Sc. Biochemistry/ M. Sc. Bioinformatics with sufficient on-hand experiences of tools and techniques.

For Senior Research Fellowship: M. Sc. Biotechnology/ M.Sc. Biochemistry/ M. Sc. Bioinformatics with two years research experiences as evident from publications.

Candidates possessing the above qualifications may submit their application on plain paper in the following format to the undersigned latest by 01.05.2012 the interviews will be held on 02.05.2012 at 11.00 AM in the office of the undersigned. No separate letter for interview will be issued or any TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview

Note: A passport size photograph must be affixed at the corner of the application. Attested copies of all the certificates/ degree/ testimonials must be enclosed. Originals should be produced at the time of interview
