Five day Science internship camp under the SEATS Scheme of “ INSPIRE “ Program

The Department of Geology at University College of Science (UCS, formerly known as Post-Graduate College of Science) Saifabad, Hyderabad is organising a five day Science internship camp under the SEATS Scheme of “ INSPIRE “ Program (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research ) of the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi.

The program scheduled from 4th to 8th May, 2012 is open to the students of XI and XII classes, who have secured more than 90% of Marks in SSC or 93% marks in CBSE or 92% marks in ICSE Examination.

The aim of the Inspire programme is to expose the students to the emerging fields of science of contemporary relevance, through a series of inspiring and motivating lectures by eminent personalities of national and international repute drawn from research institutes and Universities.

There is no application fee and a total of 100 candidates from the applications received will be shortlisted (following the guidelines of DST ) on the basis of the marks scored in X standard. The expenses of the selected students will be entirely borne by the organisers of the workshop.

The application form can be downloaded from the website www.osmania.ac.in or can be obtained from the Principal Office, UCS, Saifabad, OU, Hyderabad. Interested students may submit their application form, along with a copy of marks sheet of the qualifying examination, duly endorsed by the respective Principals of the School / College where they are presently studying, to the following address by 28^th April, 2012 to the following address.
