Lab focuses on:

1. Photoheterotrophy in marine pelagic bacteria

2. Marine symbiosis: sponge-microbe associations

3. Quorum sensing in marine bacteria

Candidates must have a PhD or be in the process of receiving it in the coming months, and should have experience either in microbiology and/or Bioinformatics.

Knowledge in any of the following skills is not required but welcome: sequence assembly, sequence annotation, microbial genome analysis, 16S data analysis (e.g. ARB, SILVA, etc.), next-generation sequence Datasets, FISH, and FISH-probe and–primer design.
