WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
Candidates who possess the qualifications mentioned below may attend the WALK-IN INTERVIEW on 13.02.2012 (Monday) between 9-00 AM and 12.00 NOON with all original certificates, including community Certificate and recent passport size photograph. The selected candidate will be working under the DST Project entitled “Characterization of the specific polypeptide(s) in Culex quinquefasciatus (Filariasis vector) causing resistance against biopesticides in mosquito vector control”. The selected candidate will be appointed initially for a period of One year and the period will be extended till the end of the project based on performance and availability of funds.
1. NAME OF THE POST: Senior Research Fellow – 1 post
2. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Zoology/Entomology/Life Sciences/ Biotechnology / Microbiology with atleast two years of research experience in relevant field.
3. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION: 1. Hands on experience in molecular biological techniques applicable to isolation and characterization of biological molecules.
2. Candidates who have been declared successful at NET/GATE.
3. Qualified in the Entrance examination Conducted by Pondicherry university 2011-12 for Ph.D Admission.
4. NATURE OF RESEARCH: To conduct research in the field of characterization of polypeptide(s) in mosquitoes causing resistance against bio-pesticides.
5. FELLOWSHIP AMOUNT: Rs.14,000/=-p.m. (Consolidated) throughout the project period + HRA admissible as per existing DST Guidelines.
6. AGE LIMIT: Below 35 years and relaxable for SC/ST and OBC Candidates, as per Govt. of India rules in force.
VENUE: Vector Control Research Centre, Medical Complex, Indira Nagar, Puducherry-605 006.
