Subject: Recruitment of Research Associate and Senior Research fellow in external funded projects

Applications are invited in prescribed pro forma for the following posts under the projects mentioned along with the post, detailed qualification and pay etc. of the posts are given below:

Research Associate “Functional significance of Potyviral Hc-Pro interaction with host and vector factors” DST funded Indo-Spanish bilateral programme  (PI- Dr. Shelly Praveen)	One	Ph.D. degree or M.Sc. with three years research experience in Biochemistry/Plant Pathology / Biotechnology or a related field. Job requirement include study of the interaction of viral RNAi suppressor protein Hc-Pro and proteins involved in plants’ RNAi machinery with the overall goal to establish the host – viral interaction. Research will include Cloning, mutation work, protein and gene expression and bioinformatics analysis. Host-viral interaction studies include yeast two hybrid system, YFP and GFP vector based techniques.	i) Publications in the desired field of research ii) Experience in handling softwares involved in Life Sciences research.	22,000/-P.M. (Consolidated) + HRA as admissible
Senior Research Fellow “RNAi and other cutting edghe technological intervention to develop insect pests, diseases and virus tolerant tomato hybrids for Indian and International market.” BIPP, DBT (PI- Dr. Shelly Praveen)	One	M.Sc. in Plant Pathology. Job requirement include standardization of protocol for transmission of Tospo & Gemini viruses and screening of transgenic tomato lines for resistance	i) Two to three years experience in the relevant field with proven published record. ii) Experience in handling softwares involved in Life Sciences research.	14,000/-P.M. (Consolidated) +HRA as admissible

1. Age maximum 40 years for RA & 35 for SRF on the date of advertisement, relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/women and 3 years for OBC candidates.

2. The positions are purely temporary and shall be terminated on termination of the project.
