One Research Associate / Senior Research Fellow / Junior Research fellow required for the project

entitles “ Microbial Synthesis of copolymers of polyhydroxybutyrate from waste cooked oil for

biomedical applications.” Funded by the CSIR under the supervision of Prof. P.P.Kundu , Dept. of

Polymer Science & Technology , C.U. Duration of the Project is three years at present.

ELIBILITY FOR JRF – First class M.Sc. in Chemistry ( Organic / Physical / Polymer) Polymer Science / NanoTechnology / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Environmental Science with NET qualification ( with microbiology / biotechnology / Chemistry as one of the subject in the B.sc. level.)

NET Lectureship / GATE qualified candidates may also apply for JRF – ship and in this case fellowship will be as per CSIR norms.

FOR SRF First class M.Tech. in Biotechnology / Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology / Polymer Science & Technology with GATE or M.Sc. in the above said subject ( with at least 55% marks) with two years research experience and at least one publication in science Indexed journal.

FOR RA- Ph.D. in Chemistry ( Organic / Physical / Inorganic / Polymer) or Ph.D. in Chemical Engg./

Chemical Tech. / Polymer Sc. & Tech. M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Tech./ Polymer

Science & Tech. with three years research experience with at least me. Paper Publication in SCI journal.

Fellowship will be as per CSIR norms: (i) 16000/- + adm. allowance as per CSIR norms for JRF is the slab of Rs. 16000-16000-18000 with NET qualified candidate or Rs. 12000/- + adm. allowance as per CSIR norms in the slab of Rs. 12000-12000-14000 [ NET(LS)/ GATE] qualified candidates . Rs. 18000/- + allowances for SRF and Rs. 22000/- + adm. allowance for Res Associate.

Upper age limit 28 years for JRF , 32 years for SRF and 35 years for Research Associate as on 01.02.2012( 5 years relaxable for SC/ST/ Women Candidates)
