Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of “Project Assistant” on fellowship awarded by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, to Dr. Ramanathan Natesh @School of Biology, IISER-TVM.
TITLE OF RESEARCH PROJECT: Structural analysis of proteins and its interacting partners (multiprotein complexes) by protein crystallography and single particle cryoEM.
NAME OF THE POST: Project Assistant (01 No.)
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: First class M.Sc. degree in any discipline of Life Science from a recognized University/Institute. Preference will be given to those who have cleared CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT-JRF/GATE(XL). The work will involve protein cloning, expression, purification, crystallisation and any other research related duties assigned as and when required. Experience in one or more of these will be an added advantage. Preference will be given to one who has extensive experience in molecular biology (cloning and protein expression in E. Coli). An aptitude for learning new techniques is a must.
AGE LIMIT: Applicants should not have completed 28 years of age at the time of application.
SALARY: Rs. 12,000/- p.m. (consolidated).
DURATION: One Year (extendable on yearly basis, on review of performance).
