POST: PostDoctoral Fellow(Yeast Prions and Protein Chaperones)
We use genetics, molecular biology and biochemistry to identify and characterize factors that influence propagation of prions (infectious amyloid) in yeast. We are also using yeast prions as a system to investigate functions of the many protein chaperones that are known to moderate prion propagation in yeast, focusing on their interactions with each other as well as with wild type and mutant prion proteins.
REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D. and less than five years of postdoctoral experience.
