The project is valid for a period of 5 years. Some details of the project are provided in the homepage. Selected candidates will be appointed initially for a period of one year and may be extended based on performance. The candidates, if found suitable, may have the opportunity of joining the PhD programs at IIIT Hyderabad.
As this is an inter-disciplinary project, positions are available in the following broad areas:
RA (II) / PRINCIPAL RESEARCH ENGINEER
SALARY: Rs. 23000 + HRA
VACANCY: 1
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: BE/BTech in Computer Science or equivalent with relevant experience
DESIRED SKILLS: Candidate is expected to lead a team of programmers and systems personnel to build web-based applications that can be used to store, search, retrieve and analyze data related to metabolomics. Applicants must have good communication skills to coordinate efforts of the team and interface with teams in other institutes (e.g. for gathering requirements). Prior experience in managing software projects is valuable. We expect the system to be built using web2py, a python web framework.

SYSTEMS ENGINEER / SRF
SALARY: Rs.18000 + HRA NET/GATE

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: BE/BTech in Computer Science (or equivalent) with relevant experience or Redhat Certified Engineer (or equivalent)
DESIRED SKILLS: Configuring and managing linux systems in a networked environment. Can use shell scripting to automate system maintenance tasks, configure authentication, install packages required to run network services, and configure services such as HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, FTP, SMTP, and NTP. Database administration skills is also desirable.

ASSISTANT PROGRAMMER
SALARY: Rs.14000 + HRA

BIOINFORMATICS POSITIONS

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Masters in Basic Sciences with at least 2yrs of research/ professional experience.
DESIRED SKILLS: Manage the ongoing research activities in Metabolomics, Interact with the LIMS group. Familiarity with GC/MS and NMR spectroscopy and various chemical and metabolite resources is desirable.
PROJECT SCIENTISTS (BIOINFORMATICS)
SALARY: Rs.16000 + HRA NET/GATE
VACANCY: 2
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: B.Tech./M. Sc. (Computational Biology /Bioinformatics/Maths/Computer Science/Chemistry) or equivalent degree with minimum 60% marks/equivalent grade. Candidates with UGC/CSIR /GATE/DST (INSPIRE) or equivalent qualification preferred.
DESIRED SKILLS: Contribute to ongoing research activities in Metabolomics - flux-balance analysis, comparative genomics, metabolic network analysis, etc.
