Applications are invited for the post of RA in the project entitled “Functional Characterization of an endosperm specific promoter p1028 from common buckwheat and transfer of Bwleg1 gene coding for the buckwheat 26 kDa lysine rich seed storage protein to rice for nutritional enhancement of its grain proteins”. The project is valid for a period of three years (2011-2014).
POST: RA @ Rs. 22000/p.m. + HRA
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: Ph.D in any branch of Life Sciences with good academic records (Ist division).
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION: Strong desire to work on plant and microbial system with good knowledge of routine molecular biology techniques.
Applications are also invited for the post of LA/Field Assistant in a DBT project entitled “Exploring the Global changes in Transcriptome and Proteome in Transgenic B. juncea plants with altered expression of genes involved in osmosensing (BjHK1) and Ion Homeostasis (BjSOS2)”. The project is valid for a period of THREE YEARS (2010-2013).
POST: LA/Field Assistant @Rs. 8000/-p.m.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: 10+2 from a recognized board with good academic records. Basic knowledge of operating computer and typing is essential.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION: Experience of working at similar equivalent post and knowledge of shorthand and file handling will be preferred
