QUALIFICATION: For the Post at SN 1 to 11 : Professor (i) Recognized veterinary qualifications included in the first and second schedule in Indian Veterinary Council Act; 1984 & must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India. (ii)B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale. (iii) Ph.D. in concerned / Allied / relevant discipline and Master degree in the concerned discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed with consistently good academic record (iv) 10 years experience in Teaching/Research/Extension provided 3 years experience as a Associate Professor (Rs. 12000-18300) (pre-revised) or in an equivalent position. (v) Evidence of contribution to Teaching/Research/Extension as supported by published work/innovations.
Desirable:Specialization & Experience in subject/Field concerned.
For the Post at SN 12 to 26 : Associate Professor (i) Recognized veterinary qualifications included in the first and second schedule in Indian Veterinary Council Act; 1984 & must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India. (ii) B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale. (iii) Master degree in the concerned discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed. (iv) Ph.D. in the concerned/ Allied / relevant discipline with consistently good academic record (v) A minimum 8 years experience in relevant subject as Scientist/Assistant professor/Lecturer/Extension specialist or in equivalent position (excluding period spent in obtaining
Ph.D. degree) in the Pre-revised pay scale of Rs. 8000-13500 having made contribution to Teaching/Research/Extension as evidenced by published work/innovation.
Desirable- Specialization & Experience in subject/Field concerned.
For the Post at SN 27 to 43 : Assistant Professor (i) Recognized veterinary qualifications included in the first and second schedule in Indian Veterinary Council Act; 1984 & must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India. (ii) B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale. (iii) Master degree in the concerned discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed with consistently good academic record (iv) NET/SLET/SET conducted by the ICAR/UGC/CSIR or any other Central/State Govt. agency shall be the minimum eligibility condition. (v) Preference will be given to Ph.D. degree holder.
Note:
(i) The NET/SET is essential qualification for the recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor or equivalent in the
disciplines where NET/SET is conducted by the ICAR/UGC/CSIR or any other Central Govt. Agency.
(ii) The NET/SET will not be an essential qualification in the discipline in which NET/SET is not conducted
(iii) A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master’s level for the SC/ST/Differently-abled (Physically and visually handicapped) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. Rounding off of marks to make it to 55% or 50% as the case may be through grace mark procedure etc., by universities is not permissible for claiming relaxation.
Instructions to download, fill & post the applications for Teaching Positions
1. Instructions to obtain the form from website:
i. Open University website “svbpmeerut.ac.in”
ii. At Home Page click on “Recruitment”
iii. Following links will appear on screen
iv. Click on “View advertisement”
v. Click on “Download application form” (for teaching posts). Form in four parts A, A1, B and B1 are to be filled in duplicate.
vi. Click on Performa for online submission (Candidate must fill and submit the online Performa for their own safety and security, otherwise their application will be treated as incomplete. Candidate must sent separate hard copy of application form along with all required document on or before the last date of form submission).
2. On the top right hand corner of envelop the name of the post should be written and underline. The letter should be send through ordinary post and candidate should not write his/her name on envelop. The applications through registered/speed post would not entertained. However, the candidate must fill online registration form for security of his application.
3. The unfolded application must be sent in A4 size envelope. All the seams & openings should be sealed through a transparent good quality tape.
General Instructions for candidates for appointment by selection for Teaching
1. The candidate must be a citizen of India.
2. The retirement age for all teaching/Scientific posts will be as per university rules.
3. The University reserves the right to alter/modify any condition at any stage.
4. Having fulfilled the essential qualifications will not entitle an applicant to be called for interview.
5. The number of posts may increase or decrease.
6. Application on prescribed format along with enclosures and a bank draft of Rs. 1500/- (Rs. 750/- for SC/ST) for teaching posts (non refundable) in favour of Comptroller, SVP University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut payable at SBI, SVP University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut (Bank Code 10653) should reach Dr. C.S. Prasad, Registrar, Post Bag No MT-01, Meerut H.O.I-250001 by post on or before the closing date 30.11.2011
7. SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped candidates must furnish the certificate as applicable, issued by the competent authority of U.P. Govt.
8. The applicants who wish to apply for more than one post should submit separate application forms in separate envelops accompanied by relevant enclosures and bank draft for each post.
9. Applicants should clearly note that the university will, in no case be responsible for non receipt of their applications or any delay in receipt thereof on any account. Applications received after the last date shall stand rejected.
10. In service candidates should send their application through proper channel. However, advance copy should reach before the closing date.
11. The candidate should enclose two self addressed envelop with stamp of Rs. 35/- as affixed thereon.
12. There is no age limit for the post of Professor and Associate Professor. However for the post of Assistant Professor upper age limit shall be 35 years as on the last date of application, relaxable by 05 years in case of OBC and SC/ST category and 15 year relaxation for Physically handicapped.
13. Applications not accompanied by the prescribed fee will not be considered. The fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
14. Original certificate of academic qualifications, certificates of experience, publications and their list, award certificates, proof of special attainments etc. may please be produced before the selection committee at the time of interview.
15. Eight copies of Part-B of the application form should be produced at the time of interview by the candidate for appraisal by the selection committee members.
16. No recommendations or recommendatory letters be sent or arranged to be forwarded to the University. Canvassing in any form will disqualify a candidate.
17. The University will not pay any transit fare for attending interview.
18. A candidate must be in sound health. He/she must be prepared to undergo such medical examination and satisfy such medical authority as required.
19. The University is governed by the Act. & statutes of the Agriculture University Act 1958 of U.P. as amended time to time
20. All communications, in respect of applications for recruitment against the posts advertised should be addressed to the Registrar, SVP University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut of the University and should contain the following particulars;
a) Reference No.
b) Advertisement no. and S.No. of post.
c) Name of the post applied for.
Communications not giving these particulars are liable to be ignored.
1. Signatures (with date and place) of the candidate are essentially required at appropriate places in both Part-A and Part-B of the Application Form. The University will not consider unsigned application. The photograph should be attested.
2. A separate application with separate fee required for each post. Applications for two different posts should not be tagged together.
3. Inclusion of any false information in the application form shall hold the candidate liable for such false information, and action deemed fit could be taken against such candidate.
4. The candidates called for interview would have to make a short presentation of his/her achievements, skills and abilities.
5. Salary against the pay scales will be as applicable under UGC/ICAR/State Government rules.
6. If at any stage it is discovered that the candidate used political / or any other undesirable influence are found having submitted false certificate / degree will not only summerly rejected but proceeded against legally.
Instructions for completion of Part-B of the Application Form
1.1 ‘Academic Qualifications’: Exam/Degree/Diploma – ‘HS/ 10+ 2 means Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.Information about Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or equivalent, Doctorate degree and post-doctoral experience is requiredto be respectively filled. Under ‘Other’ exam/degree/diploma, any additional qualifications, including the desirable ones (if any,in the post applied for) can be filled.
1.2 ‘Employment Record & Experience’: ‘Duration (years, months)’ would help in assigning marks for work experience over and above the prescribed qualifying years required for the post applied for. Fixed salary in NGO/Private Industry/Private College/Self finance courses would not be treated as equivalent to running scale.
1.3 ‘In-service Award/Recognition’: This should include national/international awards (recognized by organizations such as ICAR,CSIR, DBT, Ministries for State or Central Government, University, FAO of the UN etc.)
Institutional and/or recognized professional societies awards/recognition, and recognitions such as President/Chairman/Member/Member Secretary of important Committees and other decision/policy making bodies can also be given.
Please do mention whether the award/recognition is individually/jointly received. Please do not mention conference
prizes/medals such as best paper or best poster award.
1.4 ‘Teaching/Extension’: Include any design of innovative course curriculum (new course(s) added or course(s) revised);
publication of textbook, authored/edited books, teaching or extension aid/manual/bulletin, review chapter, chapter in a book or proceedings of a seminar/symposium, other publication of value etc.; guidance of student(s) for award of university degrees;success of students in terms of their recognition for awards (e.g. Jawaharlal Nehru Award) or by qualifying ARS/SRF/NET etc.;popularization of new technologies/issues, innovation in teaching/ extension technology and methods, training conducted and farmers benefited, examples created for enhanced income generation by farmers or employment generation in students, production of inputs and supplies for ultimate use by farmers, any other success story, etc. In the column of ‘Additional Information’, it needs to be specifically mentioned whether it is an individual or collaborative effort. ‘Special Attainments’: Novel technology, patent, prototype, genetic stock, process, concept, methodology, etc. or other attainments of merit can be given to highlight salient research accomplishments.Also, any specific attainments of merit or special assignments (international organizations, overseas and special national assignments) not covered anywhere else in the application can be included.
In the column of ‘Additional Information’, it needs to be specifically mentioned whether the attainment is an individual or collaborative effort.
1.5 ‘Total Number of Publications’: Only the numbers of particular category of publications should be provided, besides the total number of publication as indicated.
1.6 ‘Any other information’: Include any significant contribution relevant to the post applied for and not covered elsewhere.
