64th State Annual Conference of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry chapter of Indian Radiological & Imaging Association 2011

 64th State Annual Conference of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry chapter of Indian Radiological & Imaging Association 2011 will be held on 10th & 11th of December 2011, with Pre-Conference Workshop on 9th December at JIPMER, Puducherry.

Many eminent radiologists will take part in the Conference & will be delivering lectures on topics from the basics to recent advances in Radiodiagnosis. Further, prize paper presentations for post Graduates, proffered papers, interactive quiz and film Reading sessions are also being organised. The Pre-Conference workshop on 9th December will be focusing on Musculoskeletal Imaging and Interventional Radiological procedures.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS

The Scientific Committee of the 64th State Annual Conference of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry chapter of Indian Radiological & Imaging Association 2011, JIPMER, Puducherry welcomes the submission of abstracts for scientific presentations via the mail id jipmeririacon@gmail.com

FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS:

GENERAL GUIDELINES:

1 All abstracts should be in Arial font of size 14 and saved in MS Word Document

2 All abstracts must be submitted latest by November 10th, 2011 in order to be considered by the scientific committee.

3 Only electronic submission is admissible. Hardcopies sent by mail or fax will not be taken up for review

4 Maximum of four authors are permitted for each presentation. The name of the presenting author should be underlined.

5 The abstract would be accepted only if the presenting author is registered and provides his/her registration number.

6 Presentation should be balanced and contain no commercial promotional content

7 Patient confidentiality should be protected. No names, hospital tel. Numbers or any other identifying information can appear in presentation

8 No changes in the abstract contents and the authorship will be allowed after the final submission. If you wish to withdraw your abstract after final date you must inform the scientific committee by e-mail only

9 The decision of the scientific committee will be final

Categories of Abstracts:

Oral Scientific paper Presentations

These are fully fledged studies based on hypothesis driven research. They will be Power Point presentations of 8 minutes duration with 2 minutes for questions and discussion. The abstract for this category will have to be divided into

1 Objective

2 Material & Methods

3 Results

4 Conclusion

5 Clinical relevance statement

6 The abstract limit is 200 words .

7 Do not include references, acknowledgements, graphics, tables or figures in your abstract body .

8 Please make sure that your abstract is properly structured and proof-read concerning spellings and grammar.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Posters can be presented in the following topics.

•Interesting cases,

•Pictorial essay,

•Original research of the Candidate.

•Size of the poster should be 90 X 110 cms.
