for the selection of one Research Associate & one Junior Research Fellow
under the time bound project “Distributed Information Sub centre - DISC” as per
the details indicated below:

QUALIFICATIONS: a)Essential: Doctorate
degree in Bioinformatics or Doctorate degree in Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ Biochemistry
with expertise in Bioinformatics as evidenced by publications.
B) DESIRABLE: Minimum one year experience in a reputed
research institute or university, Computer
programming skills in
Python/Perl/Java.
FELLOWSHIP: Rs.22,000/-p.m
(Consolidated)+HRA
UPPER
AGE LIMIT: 40
years for Men & 45 years for Women as on date of Interview (Upper Age
limits are relaxable for SC, ST and OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms
(at present 5 years for SC/ST and
3 years for OBC)
DURATION
OF PROJECT: 31st
March, 2013 or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

Graduate Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Applications
b) DESIRABLE: One year Experience in Database development
(PHP-MySQL/Java)/Bioinformatics
FELLOWSHIP: Rs.12,000/-p.m
(Consolidated)+HRA for ( I &II Year)
Rs.14,000/-p.m (Consolidated)+HRA
( from III year)
UPPER
AGE LIMIT: 35
years for Men & 40 years for Women as on date of Interview (Upper Age
limits are relaxable for SC, ST and OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms (at

March, 2013 or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
General Terms and conditions
1. The above position is purely
on temporary basis and is co-terminus with the project. There is no
provision of re-employment after termination of project. The selected
candidates will not have any right for claiming pay scale or absorption against
any regular post being vacant on a later date at this Institute.
2. Closing date of online
applications will be on 20-07-2012 at 4-30 PM. Online applications will be
screened and eligible candidates will be informed by post/e-mail to appear for
a written test cum interview on a date to be intimated later.
3. No TA/DA will be paid for
attending the Interview.
4. Candidates who secure the
minimum marks prescribed by the Institute in written test only will be eligible
for calling for the interview. The number of candidates to be called for the
interview will be decided by the Director of the Institute.
5. The Director, IISR reserves
the right to fix criteria and short-list the candidates for Test/Interview,
after due screening of applications.
6. If needed., candidates may have
to stay one more day for the interview.
7. The decision of Director, IISR
would be final and binding in all aspects.
8. Canvassing in any form will
lead to cancellation of candidate.

No objection certificate in case
he/she is employed elsewhere and Experience certificate
in
original (if any) need to be produced at the time of interview
