The workshop will cover applications of NMR in both Physical and Biological Sciences.

Applications are invited for admission to the Workshop from the persons who intend to use NMR spectroscopy for their research work. The persons who have not attended any similar course in SAIF, NEHU or elsewhere and have basic knowledge and experience in NMR Spectroscopy will be given preference.   The application forwarded through proper channel of the Institution/Department should be sent to “The Head, SAIF, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong – 793 022” latest by 20th February, 2012.

PROJECT TITLE:  "Biodiversity, DNA barcoding and phylogeny of commercially valuable marine molluscs of India"

PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR: Dr. Sanil George.

SPONSORING AGENCY: DBT

 ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: First Class in M.Sc. Zoology. Experience in Biodiversity studies with published proof and expertise in animal DNA barcoding. The project involves filed work in marine environments and the candidates prepared to do field work only need to apply.  

 AGE: Below 30 years

 EMOLUMENTS: Rs.16,000 /- + 20% HRA per month.

 DURATION: Three years or till termination of the project (whichever is earlier).
