Applications from suitable candidates are invited for the post of JRF on a purely temporary basis in a DBT sponsored project entitled "An alternative approach towards the understanding of Huntington disease using Dictyostelium discoideum as a model system" under the call for proposals in neurosciences.
One position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Emoluments: @ Rs. 16,000/-p.m + 30% HRA (as per the sanctioned project).
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in any field of Life Sciences and NET qualified. If not NET qualified, the emoluments would reduce, as per DBT norms.
Desirable Qualification: Strong desire to work in the subject area mentioned. Preference would be given to those who have knowledge of Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and culture handlings.
Tenure: The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the above mentioned DBT project. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year which can be extended further on the basis of the performance of the candidate.

Minimum qualification: Candidate should be M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Biochemistry/Chemistry with a good academic record.
The candidates should have at least one year of research experience in a relevant field with practical knowledge of handling Candida cell cultures and molecular biology techniques such as cloning, extraction of RNA and DNA etc.
