Walk-In Interview for the post of Junior Research Fellow

Candidates who have passed the national written test like UGC-CSIR NET (Lectureship or JRF), BET, ICMR EXAM (JRF- PROJECT)/BET may appear for the walk-in-interview on 07– 06 –2012 at 11 A.M. for the post of Junior Research Fellow in the project entitled “Long term effect of arsenic exposure on placental vasculogenesis in mice” in the Department of Reproductive and Cyto-toxicology of the institute. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

This project is under DBT’s Twinning programme for the North Eastern Region, Agartala Medical College, Agartala.

PAY(RS): Rs. 16000 + 10% HRA

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: ESSENTIAL: M.Sc. in Zoology/Biochemistry/ Molecular biology/  Biotechnology with good  academic record and should pass theNational written test like UGC-CSIR NET, ICMR-JRF , DBT-BET, and NET Qualified for lectureship and ICMR exam qualified for the JRF Project post will also be considered.

DESIRABLE: Experience in the field of either  Reproductive, Molecular biology and animal handling

Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-medicated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students. 5. Satisfactory score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) system developed by UGC. UPPER AGE LIMIT: 50years

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

1. Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or equivalent grade where grading system is practiced at the Master’s degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

2. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC.

3. Holders of Ph.D. degrees along with those candidates who are awarded a Ph.D. degree through a process of admission, registration, course work and external evaluation as have been/ may be laid down by the UGC through its regulations, and so adopted by the University shall be exempted from NET. NET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET is not conducted.

Assistant Professor Temporary Basis (Sub : Commerce, BCA, Applied Bio-technology, English) (Tenure – 01 year)

i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET .

iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to the Clause 4.4.1 of UGC Regulations, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D.
