DESIRABLE: Experience in Agromet Advisory Services, Crop weather modeling, Climate vulnerability analysis

3. POST: Data Entry Operator
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: MA / B.Sc with  PGDCA recognized University, knowledge of Meteorological data entry, analysis of data. Analysis of experimental   data related to Agrometeorology
DESIRABLE: 3-4 year experience knowledge of different statistical software
PAY (RS.): 8,000/- (consolidated) per month.

AGE RELAXATION: 5years for SC/S, 3 years for OBC for all categories of Project Assistants in addition to age at column No.3 above AND widows, divorced woman and woman judicially separated who are not remarried are allowed age concession up to the age of 35 years (40 years for members of SC/STs) – No other women entitled for such relaxation.
The engagement is purely on a temporary and contract basis under the externally funded sponsored project undertaken by CSIR-NEERI which may be extended or curtailed depending on the status/duration of the sponsored project, satisfactory performance/conduct of the Project Assistants/Associate. It is a placement under externally funded/ sponsored project and will be co-terminus with the project duration in any case. The engagement shall be an assignment and not an appointment in CSIR/NEERI, temporary or otherwise. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit on the candidates for regularization/absorption against any post in CSIR-NEERI or under any other scheme of CSIR.

YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARDS
Awards to the young scientists (below35 years) will be given for the best oral/ poster presentations. Interested young scientists /Scholars should submit single author research paper abstracts. Those who wish to participate should submit the papers through the Head of the Organization/Department with proof of age.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION:
Abstracts of papers on topics relevant to the theme of the seminar are invited in various areas for oral and Poster presentation. Each abstract should contain: (a) an introductory sentence indicating the purpose of the study; (b) a brief description of pertinent experimental procedures; (c) a summary of the new, unpublished data; and (d) a statement of the conclusions. Authors are requested to submit abstracts not exceeding more than 300 words for review on or before 30th December, 2011. The acceptance of the papers and mode of presentation will be informed to authors by 7th January, 2012. Authors of the accepted papers will be requested to submit papers in MS-word format on a CD or/ through e-mail. The full papers should not exceed 10 pages on A4 size sheets with 1.5 line spacing, including tables, annexures and figures. The full paper should include abstract, introduction, Material & Methods, Results and Discussion and Bibliography. In the text, names of the authors should be used and the references should be arranged alphabetically. The volume of the full papers will be released on the 1st day of the seminar. b.         Programme establishment, development and operations: Play a central role in the set up and development of the Institute’s research programme and their implementation. Ensure that a culture of continuous improvement is embedded within the institute.
c.         Institute’s marketing, community and public relations: Oversee marketing and promotion of the Institute and ensure its activities are consistently presented in strong and positive manner to relevant stakeholders.
d.         Partnership liaison: Develop and maintain effective relationships by creating effective structures to ensure close liaison, coordination and communication relating to the activities of the Institute. Maintain relationships with the relevant academic / other communities.

The applications received without the recommendations of the employers will not be considered (d) The crucial date of determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications (e) The Department can consider granting higher start as may be permissible under the rules in the pay scale of the post in the case of deserving candidates (f) Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid to-and-fro air-fare / rail-fare by the shortest route as per rules on production of proof of journey (g) The candidates who have applied earlier need to apply again.
5.         Completed applications strictly in the prescribed format given below with a passport size photograph fixed at the space shown in the format along with testimonials should be sent to Dr. Mohd. Aslam, Director / Scientist ‘F’, Department of Biotechnology, Block-2, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110003 superscribing the cover, the post applied for within 45 days from the date of publication of advertisement. The closing date for receipt of application from candidates residing abroad and from Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshdweep Islands, States/Union Territories in the North-Eastern region, Ladakh region of J&K, Sikkim, Sub division Chamba and Lahaul and Spiti districts of Himachal Pradesh will be 60 days.
