A walk-in interview will be conducted for the recruitment of one JRF and one RA in the DST (CSI), Govt. of India funded project “Molecular Genetic Studies of Cognitive Function Among Parkinson’s Disease Patients of India” at the S. N. Pradhan Centre for Neurosciences, University of Calcutta. Candidates are requested to bring with them two sets of Bio-data, containing academic qualification and research/ teaching experience (if any) with original and attested copies of certificates.

PROJECT TITLE: Characterization of arsenate resistant of Pannonibacter nandii strain HT23(DSM 23407T) and development of a whole cell arsenate biosensor.
ELIGIBILITY & SELECTION: For Junior research fellowship, candidates with Master’s degree or equivalent with 60% aggregate marks in any branch of Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology and Biochemistry with CSIR-NET are eligible to apply. For senior research Fellowship
Candidates having M.Sc. or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks & publication in the scientific Journal and should have completed at least 2 years of post M.Sc research experience;
FELLOWSHIP: For JRF the fellowship amount is Rs.16,000/- per month plus HRA and for SRF position the fellowship amount is 18,000/- per month plus HRA as admissible.
UPPER AGE LIMIT: 28 years for JRF and 32 years for SRF.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
(i) Age limit: Maximum age 40 years for RA and 35 years for SRF/RF (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC).
(ii) The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially up to March 2013, or till the termination of the project which-ever is earlier.
(iii) The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project.
