Winter School on “Molecular Breeding and Marker Assisted Selection in Rice Improvement” from 1-21 Nov 2011


TARGET GROUP
The training course will be suitable for breeders, scientists working in the area of biotechnology of rice and other crops lecturers of crops, Universities teaching /working in biotechnology and personnel engaged in crop biotechnology R & D in public sector, State Agricultural Universities/ other Universities. Only permanent employees are eligible to apply for the training course

COURSE DURATION
The training course will be held at the Central Rice Research Institute, Cuttack during 1‐21, November, 2011. The sessions will start daily from 9.00 A.M and may continue till late evening.

VENUE & OTHER DETAILS
The programme is residential and participants are required to stay at CRR I campus, Cuttack. Accommodation will be provided on twinsharing basis at the Guest House/Hostel located within the Institute campus. Candidate should bring Permission letter from the controlling officers of their respective Institute. Selected participants are eligible for TA (up to 2 AC Train fare by shortest route as per ICAR norms (not Rajdhani). Food & accommodation will be provided by the organizers. CRRI is located at Bidyadharpur on the   Cuttack‐Paradeep highway. It is located approximately 6 km away from the Cuttack railway station, 7 Km from Cuttack Bus Stand and 35 Km from Bhubaneswar Airport and can be reached by auto rickshaw or taxi.

LAST DATE FOR NOMINATION
The duly filled in nomination form along with the recommendation of the sponsoring officer must reach the Course Director, Winter School on “Molecular Breeding and Marker Assisted Selection in Rice  Improvement”, Central Rice Research Institute, Cuttack753006 on or before 5th October, 2011. The nomination form can be sent in advance through e‐mail to gjnrao@gmail.com or  aogjn@yahoo.com but the hard copy of the nomination form should reach the Course Director on or before the due date. There is provision for 25 participants and the selection would be on first come first basis and preference will be given to those who are working on rice. Announcement of the final selection will be available on the CRRI Website and all the selected candidates will also be intimated by 10th October, 2011.
