“Walk-in-Interview” will be held at Indian Institute of Pulses Research, Kalyanpur, Kanpur for the following

positions under the adhoc project on Contractual basis.

Eligible and desirous candidates fulfilling all the requirements should bring their application giving full details of academic records and experience(s) alongwith attested photocopy as well as original copy of the relevant documents and a passport size photograph.

1.      POST:  Research Associate(01)

PROJECT TITLE: “Evaluation and production of cytoplasmic genetic male sterility (CGMS) based hybrids for enhancement of productivity and stability of yield in pigeonpea”

DURATION: One year

RENUMERATION: Rs. 23000/-per month +HRA

QUALIFICATIONS :

Essential: 1. M.Sc.(Ag) in Genetics and Plant Breeding from a  recognized university

Desirable: (i) Ph.D in Genetics and Plant Breeding

(ii) Experience of working in heterosis breeding of field crops

(iii) Knowledge of handling the computer software like MS word, MS Power point, MS Excel etc.

AGE LIMIT: 40 years for male and 45  years for  femalecandidates

2.        POST: Research Assistant(One)

 PROJECT TITLE: “ Development and validation of PCR based diagnostics for major viral diseases of some important pulses

Crops

DURATION: Three years

RENUMERATION: Rs. 12000/-per month(Fixed) forfirst two years and Rs. 14000/- per month (fixed) for third year

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

1. M.Sc./M.Sc.(Ag) in Plant Pathology/Plant Protection/Biotechnology/Micr obiology from a recognized university

(ii) The candidate should have Ist Division in B.Sc. and M.Sc.

Desirable: Practical knowledge of PCR based diagnosis of viruses

AGE LIMIT: Upper age limit 25 years ( Age relaxation of thee years may be given to   suitable candidate)

 DATE AND TIME OF INTERVIEW : 26.8.2011 at 11.00 AM

TERMS & CONDITIONS:-

1. Above positions are purely temporary, time bound and co-terminus with the projects.

2. Age relaxation will be 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates only for Sl. No. 1

3. Only Indian Citizen who are resident of Uttar Pradesh are eligible for Sl. No. 2

4. Place of work will be IIPR Kanpur

5. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in Interview.

6. All eligible candidates are requested to be present 30 minutes before scheduled time on the date of Interview

for necessary formalities.

7. No objection certificate from the Employer/University, incase he/she is in employment elsewhere/

doing Ph.D.

8. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.

9. The Director’s decision will be final and binding in all respects.
