WALK – IN – INTERVIEW

The Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi intends to recruit Research Associate, Technical Assistant and worker in the projects mentioned below purely on contractual basis.

1.      DBT funded project “Centre of Excellence for high-throughput allele determination for Molecular breeding.” PI- Dr.ShaileshTripathi. Name of the post & number  : Research Associate- One EMOLUMENTS(Fixed): Rs 22000+ HRA QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL: Ph.d in Plant Breeding/Genetics/Biotechnology   DESIRABLE : NET qualified and experience in the field of molecular breeding
2.      ICAR Network project“Development of new plant type (NPT) varieties with higher yield and Resistance to major pest and disease” PI- Dr. A. K. Singh, Senior Scientist. a.      POST: Technical Assistant-One EMOLUMENTS: Rs.8000/- fixed ESSENTIAL: B.Sc in Agriculture/biology b.      POST: Worker-One RENUMERATION: Rs.6000/-fixed  QUALIFICATIONS: Essential: High School(Matric) or  Equivalent  Desirable: Knowledge of field operations and lab work related to rice AGE LIMIT: Maximum age 40 years for Research Associate, 30 years for Technical Assistant and Worker on the date of interview (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST &women and three years for OBC).             The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially for a period of one year, but may be extended further based on the performance of the candidate or till the termination of the project. The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project. The interview of eligible candidates for post of Research Associate will be held on 27 August , 2011 at 10.00 A.M. and for Technical Assistant and Worker will be held on 29thAugust , 2011 at 10 A.M. in the chamber of Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi 110012.The candidates will have to bring a copy of bio-data, original certificates, photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and copy of recent passport size photograph. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
