Pathogenesis of Neurotropic Flaviviruses
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, a major research component of the NIH and the Department of Health and Human Services, is recruiting a Postdoctoral Fellow.
POST: Postdoctoral Fellow
The position will be available in the Neurotropic Flaviviruses Section of the Laboratory of Infectious Diseases to investigate the molecular basis of viral pathogenesis. The major focus of our laboratory is to study the role of host and viral factors in determining the outcome of neurotropic flaviviruses. This full-time research position offers a unique opportunity to work on investigations that range from basic molecular biology to applied vaccinology.
REQUIREMENTS:
Interested applicants should have a Ph.D. or M.D. and less than five years of postdoctoral experience. Preference will be given to the candidate who has a strong background in molecular virology and immunology and has experience working with viruses and animals. Appointment duration is for up to 5 years, renewed on a yearly basis. Stipend is based on education and experience.
