POST: Postdoctoral fellow (Centrosome Biology)
Jadranka Loncerek, Principal Investigator within the Laboratory of Protein Dynamics and Signaling, CCR-Frederick has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral fellow to investigate the processes that regulate centrosome number and function.
The goal of the project is to elucidate molecular mechanisms that coordinate centrosome/centriole and cell cycle in normal human cells and during pathological conditions. A successful candidate will use integrated approach combining state of the art molecular biology with high-end light and structural biology to answer research questions.
REQUIREMENTS:
A candidate must hold a Ph.D. or its equivalent and must have less than three years of postdoctoral training. We are interested in candidates with: strong backgrounds in molecular and cell biology, experience with mammalian tissue culture and basic molecular biology techniques, and who enjoy working in a collaborative and competitive environment.
