RESPONSIBILITIES: The College of Liberal Arts of Mercer University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Global Health to begin August 1, 2012. Duties will consist of teaching seven undergraduate courses (which may include: Introduction to Health Sciences, Introduction to Global Health, Health Policy, a course in the person's specialty, or interdisciplinary general education courses.) The successful candidate will also take part in the development of the new undergraduate degree in Global Health Studies. Research involving undergraduates is encouraged.

Must have promise of excellence in teaching and scholarly activity in the context of a liberal arts college, interest in research involving undergraduate students and interdisciplinary teaching and graduate training in sociology or anthropology. Membership in Phi Beta Kappa is considered an advantage.
