POST: Research Assistant (m/f)
The Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg invites applications for the position of a Research Assistant (m/f) to support our deep-sequencing facility. Funding for this position is expected to start in 2012 for an initial period of two years.
YOUR FIELD OF WORK
•organize and  schedule sequencing projects
•optimize ChIP-seq and RNA-seq protocols
•antibody quality control
•DNA-library preparation
•operation and maintainance of sequencing machine
REQUIREMENTS
Looking for motivated team players with strong communication skills and the desire to work in a dynamic environment. The successful applicant will have a good understanding of molecular biology and the ability to perform high quality analyses in a responsible and independent manner. Candidates with prior experience as a lab technician are strongly preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•biotechnical education, biological sciences or any related field
•good knowledge of molecular biology techniques
•good oral and written communication skills in English
OFFER
Salaries will be based on previous experience according to TVöD guidelines. A childcare facility is directly attached to the institute.
