Walk-in for Research Scientist, Technical assistant & Technical Assistant posts at VCRC, Puducherry

WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
 Candidates who possess the qualification mentioned below may attend the WALK-IN INTERVIEW on the dates shown against the post between 9.00 AM and 12.00 Noon with all original certificates, including community certificate and recent passport size photograph for the following posts to work under the ICMR funded project entitled “Tolerability, efficacy and operational feasibility of artesunate combination therapy (ACT) (Artesunate-sulphadoxine-Pyrimethamine): as 1st line antimalarial drug for falciparum malaria control in a tribal area of Odisha State, India” at VCRC, Field Station, Koraput, Odisha. The selected candidate will be appointed initially for a period of six months and may be extended based on their performance and availability of funds.
1 RESEARCH SCIENTIST (MEDICAL): 1(ONE)   Date of Walk- in interview: 03.07.2012
 1.  Educational Qualifications
 (i) Essential                            :           M.B.B.S degree recognized by MCI
 (ii) Desirable                          :           MD in General Medicine/Three years experience in related field
 2. Nature of duties                          :  Management of uncomplicated malaria patients at the field and recognizing complicated cases for referral to hospitals with higher medical facilities.  Identification and management of adverse reactions of antimalarial drugs.  The job requires extensive travelling in tribal villages of Koraput and adjoining districts of Odisha State.
3.    Consolidated Salary                 :              Rs.23,700 (Pre-revised) + HRA admissible
    4.     Age limit                                      :                  Not exceeding 35 years (as on the date of Walk-in-Interview) and relaxable for SC/ST and OBC Candidates, as per Govt. of India rules in force.
  2 TECHNICAL ASSISTANT:   1 (ONE)   Date of Walk- in interview:   03.07.2012
 1. Educational qualification
(i) Essential                      :                  Three years Graduate Degree in life science subjects with one year diploma course in MLT from Govt. recognized Organization/ Institute / Medical College or 1 year experience in lower scale 
 (ii) Desirable                    :    2 years work experience in a reputed laboratory/malaria microscopy. 
Working knowledge in computer application.
2. Nature of duties                          :               The incumbent will be required to organize field work, interaction with malaria field workers, collection of blood samples from fever cases in the field and examination for malarial parasites.  They will be required to conduct tests for haematological and biochemical parameters. 
They will also assist in date feeding.  The job involves extensive travelling in tribal villages of Koraput and adjoining districts of Odisha State. 
 3. Consolidated Salary                    :             Rs.22,120/-
 5. Age limit                                          :         Not exceeding 30 years (as on the date of Walk-in-Interview).  For SC/ST and OBC Candidates, relaxable as per Govt. of India rules in force.
 3 Field/Laboratory Attendant :  2 (TWO)  Date of Walk- in interview:  03.07.2012
 1. Educational qualification          :               Matriculation or equivalent pass from a recognized Board           
 2. Nature of duties                          :              Assisting in collection of blood samples, washing of lab-ware, making arrangements for field and laboratory works.  The job requires extensive travelling in tribal villages or Koraput and adjoining districts of Odisha State.
 3. Consolidated Salary                    :             Rs.11,581/-
 4.  Age limit                                         :         18-25 years (as on the date of Walk-in-Interview).  For SC/ST and OBC  Candidates, relaxable as per Govt. of India rules in force.
