WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

Candidates who possess the qualification mentioned below may attend the WALK-IN INTERVIEW on 03.07.2012 between 9.00 AM and 12.00 Noon with all original certificates, including community certificate and recent passport size photograph. The selected candidates will be appointed under the DBT project entitled “Characterization of the bacterial toxins isolated from marine soil samples for the control of mosquito vectors” initially for a period of one year and will be extended till the end of the project based on his/her performance and availability of funds.  NAME OF THE POST - JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW – 1 POST

 1. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

 Master’s degree in Zoology/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Life sciences 

2. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION: 1. Candidates who have been declared successful at CSIR/UGC-NET, GATE or other National Eligibility Tests 2. Qualified in the entrance examination conducted by Pondicherry central University for PhD admission 

3. NATURE OF RESEARCH:  To conduct research in the field of characterization of mosquitocidal toxin from marine bacteria 

4. FELLOWSHIP AMOUNT:  Rs.12,000/- + 20% HRA for 1st & 2rd year and Rs.14,000/- + 20% HRA for 3rd year 

5. DURATION OF THE PROJECT: JRF  2 years as JRF and 1 year as SRF (subject to progress based on yearly assessment) 

6. AGE LIMIT: Below 28 years and relaxable for SC/ST and OBC candidates, as per Govt. of India rules in force
