RA, JRF,SRF & Project assistant posts at NEHU, Shillong

Applications on plain paper along with biodata and attested copies of all certificates are invited for the following posts in the DBT funded project entitled “Establishment of a DBT Centre at NEHU for empowerment of North Eastern Human Resource for Biotechnology Activities"

1. RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (RA) – 01 POST;

QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D degree in Botany/Zoology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Agriculture Sciences/Life Sciences.

EMOLUMENT: Rs.22,000.00 pm plus 10% HRA as per NEHU rules

2. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW/SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW – 01 POST.

QUALIFICATIONS: M.Sc. degree in Botany/Zoology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Agriculture/Life Sciences with a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination (NET/GATE/BINC candidates will be given preference)

EMOLUMENT: Rs.14000.00 pm for the Ist and IInd year and Rs. 16000.00 pm for the IIIrd year plus 10% HRA as per NEHU rules for JRF who has qualified NET/GATE/BINC examination and Rs.12000.00 pm for the Ist and IInd year and Rs. 14000.00 pm for the IIIrd year plus 10% HRA as per NEHU rules for non NET/GATE/BINC candidates.

3. PROJECT ASSISTANT - 01 POST.

QUALIFICATIONS: B.Sc. (Hons.) in Botany/Zoology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Agriculture/Life Sciences/Chemistry. Candidates with post B.Sc. laboratory experience in Biotechnology shall be preferred.

EMOLUMENT: Rs.8,000/- pm

4. LAB ATTENDANT –01 POST.

QUALIFICATIONS:10th pass with atleast 3 three years experience in laboratory work/ field work.

EMOLUMENT:Rs.5,000/-pm

5. OFFICE ASSISTANT- 01 POST

QUALIFICATIONS:10th pass with 3 three years experience in office work.

EMOLUMENT:Rs.5,000/-pm

The positions are purely temporary for the duration of the project. The emoluments for RA/JRF/SRF may change as per the norms of DBT, New Delhi.

The appointment does not confer any entitlement or right over the job for absorption in the university  service.
