POST: Postdoctoral Fellow
The laboratory of Justin W. Taraska has openings for postdoctoral positions at the Laboratory of Molecular Biophysics, National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland. Our research utilizes fluorescence, structural, and imaging tools to understand how membrane proteins and vesicles function at both the molecular and cellular level. Specific proteins of interest include ion channels and proteins involved in membrane trafficking and synaptic transmission.
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates with strong interests in imaging single proteins and vesicles, fluorescence, protein structure, image processing, and developing biophysical methods for cellular imaging are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have no more than four years of relevant postdoctoral experience.
Appointments and salary are commensurate with research experience, accomplishments and based on NIH guidelines.
TO APPLY:
Applicants should submit a C.V., a brief letter of research interests and career goals, and the names of three references to: justin.taraska@nih.gov
