Applications for admission to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) for the year 2011-12 in the prescribed form are invited from the eligible candidates who are required to appear for entrance test and also those who are exempted from taking entrance test. To download Application Form and other details regarding fee, vacancy, procedure for admission etc., candidates shall visit the website www.bu-admexam.in or www.attristech.com/bu
Filled in Application Form along with required enclosures and D.D. drawn in favour of “The Finance Officer, Bangalore University, Bangalore ” shall be sent to the Registrar (Evaluation), Bangalore University , Pareeksha Bhavan, Jnanbharati Campus, Bangalore-560056 on or before 21-10-2011 through speed post or courier. Applications shall be downloaded only from the website.

PROCEDURE FOR DOWNLOADING AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM:
· Candidates shall visit and browse the Application Form from the website www.bu-admexam.in or www. attristech.com/bu.
· Shall enter the required details in the Application Form and submit
· Thereafter, shall download two sets of duly filled in Application Form
· Send on set of downloaded Application Form to the Registrar (Evaluation), Bangalore University , Pareeksha Bhavan, Jnanbharati Campus, Bangalore-560056 along with required enclosures and D.D. of Rs.1500/- for Entrance and Rs. 1000/- for non entrance candidates (for SC/ST and Category-I Candidates 50% of the prescribed fee) drawn in favour of “The Finance Officer, Bangalore University, Bangalore ” on or before 21-10-2011 through speed post or courier duly superscribing “Application for Ph. D Admission 2011-12(Entrance/Non Entrance)” and one set shall be retained by the Candidate for reference.
· Incomplete/ineligible Applications and Applications received after last date shall automatically stand rejected and no communication regarding the same will be made to the candidates.
· The admission tickets of the eligible candidates shall be downloaded between 20-11-2011 to 03-12-2011 by entering their date of birth or mobile number.
Enclosures:
1. Attested copies of statement of marks of Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree & M.Phil. Part-I & II examinations (wherever applicable)
2. An attested copy of the Caste certificate in case of SC/ST/Category-I/II-A/II-B/III-A/III-B candidates.
3. An attested document pertaining to UGC-JRF / CSIR-JRF/ NET/ SLET/ GATE/ FIP/ QIP/ specialized funded projects/Govt., sponsored foreign students (wherever applicable).
4. However, selected candidates have to submit Migration Certificate and Eligibility Certificate at the time of registration.
5. One separate Passport size photo with name, Application No. & Subject, written on the back side of the photo

8) Last date for admission 23-12-2011
In case, the last date is declared as holiday the next working day will be the last date.
Applicants are required to enquire personally in the concerned Department regarding their selection and no correspondence is entertained in this regard.
