Qualification & Experience:
Essential: i. Doctorate degree in any discipline/subject of the concerned Faculty.
ii. A minimum of 15 years experience of teaching and research of which at least 07 years should be in the rank of Professor or equivalent in any branch of Veterinary Sciences.
Desirable
i. Evidence of leadership and outstanding achievements in teaching and Research.
ii. Good knowledge of modern Veterinary Educational system.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. For posts appearing under Item No. 5 and Item No. 6, Ph.D. degree is relaxable in the discipline of Vety. Sciences & Animal Husbandry.
2. Candidates having post graduate degree in Molecular Biology or Biotechnology can also apply for the post at S.No. 5 of Item No. 5, provided their PG research is on Agriculture or allied fields.
3. Candidates applying for the posts at Item No. 6, should be post graduate in Live Stock Production and Management (LPM), Animal Breeding and Genetics & Animal nutrition.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Allowances & Provident Fund As per the University statues and rules of J&KCSR
Age: Not less than 20 years and more than 55 years as on 01.01.2011. Upper age limit is relaxable in case of persons already in employment of the University and for the post of Officer/Professor and equivalent.
Nature of Appointment: Temporary with two year’s probation.
In-service Candidates The candidates in employment should forward their application through their employer and their services shall be regulated in accordance with the statutory provisions as are in vogue or as may come into force from time to time.

Sciences & Technology of Jammu, Chatha by or before 20.10.2011 upto 5 p.m.
Applications received after expiry of the said date will not be entertained.
Those who have already applied in response to Notification No. 06 (Est.) of 2010 dated: 30.08.2010 & 07 (Est) of 2011 dated: 05.04.2011 need not to apply again. Therefore, all the candidates are advised that they must submit their biodata afresh if they have improved their qualification, experience or publications etc in their own interest No additional fee is required to be attached with the Biodata submitted by the candidates already applied in pursuance to above said notifications. Candidates who have already appeared in the interviews and have not been selected are also advised to apply afresh.
Two self addressed envelops of size (9' x 4') duly affixed with postage stamps of 30/- should be enclosed with the application form. Envelope containing the application form should be subscribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF _________________”.
