JRF post(Calibration of Phytolith indices along modern vegetarian gradient of Eastern Himalaya) at University of Calcutta

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of two (2) Junior Research Fellow in the project entitled “Calibration of Phytolith indices along modern vegetarian gradient of Eastern Himalaya, India and its application in Late Quaternary Environment Analysis” funded by DST, New Delhi, Govt. of India (sanction no. SR/SO/PS-94/2010 dt. 30.12.2011), under the supervision of Prof. Subir Bera, Principal Investigator, Dept. of Botany, C.U. The duration of the project is three years.
Requisite qualifications for the post will be M.Sc. in Botany (First class /A+) from a recognized university under UGC with valid GATE/NET qualification. Preference will be given to those having specialization in Paleobotany-Palynology / Palynology / Taxonomy.
Fellowship will be as per the latest guidelines of DST, Govt. of India and also as per University norms.
Candidates are required to submit two sets of complete applications furnishing biodata on plain paper with attested copies of testimonials to Prof. Subir Bera, Centre of Advanced Study, Department of Botany, 35, Ballygunge Circular Road, Kolkata – 700019 within 15 days.
No. TA/DA will be admissible for the interview.
