2012 Ref. Staff/DBT-Twin/KI/2012/02 Recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (READVERTISEMENT) In
continuation with earlier notifications dated 26.06.2012 and 07.07.2012 in NEHU
website and The Shillong Times/Times of India (NE edition), respectively for
the recruitment of two Junior Research Fellows (JRFs), each one tenable in the
Departments of Chemistry & Biotechnology, NEHU in the DBT sponsored research
project entitled “Development of AChE
(Acetylcholine esterase)-inhibitor for Alzheimer’s Disease: Screening,
Designing, Synthesis and Biological validation using Chemical Library and
North-East Indian Plants” a walk-in-interview has been scheduled as follows:
Date & Time: 3rd September, 2012; 3.00 PM Venue: Office of Prof. K. Aguan,
Department of Biotechnology, NEHU, Shillong – 793 022 Eligibility* :
(i)
For the post in Chemistry Department: PG degree in Chemistry (preferably
Physical Chem. specialization)/Biochemistry;
(ii)
For the post in Biotechnology Department: PG degree in Biotechnology &
Bioinformatics or any branch of biological sciences.
*Qualifying
NET/GATE/BET examination is desirable, but NOT mandatory. *Candidates appeared
for the final degree examinations will also be considered subject to the
condition of producing final result before joining, if selected.
