WALK‐IN‐INTERVIEW

Walk‐in‐interview for appointment to the posts of Research Associates at the Secretariat of

NFBSFARA at the above address. The appointments will be on contractual basis and the incumbent shall

not have any claim for regular appointment under ICAR. The tenure of appointment will be initially for a

period of one year from the date of appointment which may be extended from time to time depending

on Performance.

Category `A’ Research Associate (Agriculture) – one post

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL: Ph.D. Degree in any discipline of Agriculture/Animal Sciences/Fisheries/Agriculture Engineering and allied fields; or M.Sc/M.Sc(Ag) in any discipline of Agriculture/Animal  Sciences/Fisheries/Agricultural Engineering and allied fields with 1st Division and 60% marks at Post Graduate level. At least two years research experience as evidenced by  fellowship/associateship/trainingships and or published papers in standard journals.

DESIRABLE: Experience in Computer Applications for office & scientific purposes like MS Office, database applications, use of internet and statistical software.

Experience in working in public research funding agencies

Experience in report preparation and other document preparation.

EMOLUMENTS: Consolidated Rs.24000/‐ per month for Ph.D. holder and Rs.23000/‐ per month

for Master Degree holders. HRA and other benefits will be regulated as per existing norms of ICAR. No accommodation will be provided.

AGE LIMIT: Maximum 40 years for men and 45 years for women as on 16.11.2011 (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per rules).

Original certificates/degrees will be verified before the Walk‐in‐Interview. The selected candidates will be

medically examined for fitness before appointment.

Category ‘B’: Research Associate, Computer Application‐one post

ESSENTIAL: 1. B. Tech./ BE in Computer Science/ MCA/M. Sc. in Computer Science with 1st Division and 60% marks at Postgraduate level.

2. Evidence of at least two‐year project experience in designing, and developing managing net based applications& large data bases

DESIRABLE: 1. Experience in developing software and for Information Management, database management and net based applications.

2. Experience in reports preparation and other documentations
