3RD ANNUAL BIOTECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE FOR STUDENTS (ABCS)

School of Biotechnology, I2IT, Pune, invites all students pursuing BSc, BE, BTech, MSc, ME, MTech and PhD in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, General Sciences, Health Sciences, Agriculture and Technology areas and anyone who is interested in Biotechnology, Stem Cells and Molecular Medicine.
TOPICS FOR THE PAPER/POSTER/MODEL PRESENTATIONS:
· Basic research in biotechnology (including and not limited to genomics, proteomics, molecular biology, immunology, cell biology, enzymology, microbiology, biochemistry, nanotechnology)Applied research in biotechnology and medicine (including and not limited to medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, clinical research, toxicology, therapeutics, diagnostics, bioinformatics, genomics, proteomics, nanotechnology)
· Engineering applied to the biosciences (including and not limited to biomedical engineering, biomechanics, manufacturing, biophysics, nanotechnology)
· Food and agriculture (including and not limited to functional foods and nutraceuticals, food processing, agricultural biotechnology and advanced agriculture)
· Bioprocessing (including and not limited to microbial fermentation and cell culture, bioconversion, bio-fuels, manufacturing)
· Bioinformatics (including and not limited to sequence analysis, Computational Biology, Algorithm design and analysis, Database design)
· Business posters related to opportunities in the biosciences (including and not limited to market analysis, demand projection, commercialization plans)

Note
· The submitted abstracts will be screened and reviewed by our scientific committee. Thirteen (13) Students will be selected for Oral Presentations.
· The student speakers,whose abstracts are selected for Oral Presentation,will be informed in advance of one week. All other selected abstracts will be considers as posters.
· The student speakers will have 15 minutes talk + 5 min Q/A and discussion. The students are requested to strictly adhere to the timing and make their PPTs accordingly.
