Bioinformatica Indica 2012
Welcome
The State Inter-University Centre of Excellence in Bioinformatics, University of Kerala is organizing the third edition of its prestigious biannual International Symposium, Bioinformatica Indica 2012, scheduled to be held from 12-14th of January 2012. This is a sequel to Bioinformatica Indica 2008 and Bioinformatica Indica 2010, which received an overwhelming response from academia and research community.
The focus of Bioinformatica Indica 2012 is on Protein-Protein Interaction Networks; the sub-themes include Computational Genomics, Transcriptomics, Proteomics, Systems & Synthetic Biology and Drug Discovery. The event is aimed at providing an opportunity for the researchers in these fields to come together and share their research ideas, paving way for the development of one of the most significant and emerging areas in science and technology.

CALL FOR POSTERS
Unique Opportunity
An expert committee may select best three posters based on their scientific value. These three selected participants shall be invited to make oral presentations (15 minutes duration).There shall be an opportunity to make poster presentation in Bioinformatica Indica 2012. One page abstract should be submitted before December 15, 2011. Those who are interested to present posters may indicate it in the Registration Form.

Poster abstracts must adequately describe the objectives and results so that the quality, originality and completeness of the work can be evaluated. Each abstract should ideally explain the background of the study, primary purpose/rationale of the study, description of data sources, subjects, design of the study and methods employed, summary of results and conclusion of the results. Do not use separate headings in the abstract.

◦Poster abstract should also NOT include any tables, images, pictures or references.
Please use Black, Arial, 12 point size font and single spacing.
◦Word limit: 250 words total abstract (NOT including title, authors and affiliation).
◦Authors: Include author's name(s) (first name, middle initial, surname), affiliation, city and country.
◦Identify the presenting author by underlining his/her name. Give email address of the presenting author following the affiliation and address.
◦The official language of the Symposium is English.
◦Use standard abbreviations only.

TERMS
  1. The organizers and editors reserve the right to reject any poster abstract that does not meet the above requirements, and to edit abstracts.
  2. Poster size has to be 100cm x 100cm.
  3. Please note that by submitting your abstract to this symposium, you are agreeing to transfer ownership of copyright for the abstract to the organizers of the symposium to enable publication in the symposium proceedings.
  4. The abstract should be sent to "Indica 2012" <bioindica@gmail.com>. The subject line should be Indica 2012: Poster Abstract Submission.
  5. The file should be send as a *.DOC / *.ODT file suitable for processing with Microsoft Word / OpenOffice.org Writer.
  6. Abstract should be received not later than: December 15, 2011.
  7. Acceptance of the abstract will be communicated to the presenting authors on or before December 31, 2011 by email.
