Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following position in the Department of Bioinformatics, Alagappa University, Karaikudi-630003 for TNSCST sponsored research project.

TITLE OF THE PROJECT: “Genome characterization and molecular docking of Bacillus phages and their inhibitory effects against shrimp pathogenic bacteria”

POSITION:Project Fellow (one post)

PROJECT DURATION: 16 Months

FELLOWSHIP: Rs. 5000/- p.m (consolidated)

The selected candidates will be paid a consolidated pay of Rs. 5000/- per month. They are not eligible to claim any other benefits except the consolidated pay fixed.

Eligible candidates may send their bio-data along with attested copies of certificates and experience if any. The application should reach the Principal Investigator (Dr. P. Srinivasan) of the project on or before 10.10.2011. The date of interview will be intimated later.

QUALIFICATION: PG Degree in Aquaculture / Marine biology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology/ Genetics/ Biochemistry / Life Sciences/ Bioinformatics with minimum of 55% marks in the PG examinations

DESIRABLE: UGC NET/CSIR / Teaching / Research experience in Biotechnology / Biotechnology / Life Sciences/ Computer Science or relevant fields
