Walk - in- Interview
Walk-in-interview will be conducted for contractual appointment of five Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in DBT funded project on ‘Enhancing Research Capacity and Initiating Integrated M. Sc./M. Tech. & Ph. D. Programme in the area of Food Science and Technology’ located at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on October 17, 2011 at 10.30 AM in the office of the Coordinator, Centre of Food Science and Technology, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University.
DURATION: Initially the period of JRF is upto March, 2013.
EMOLUMENTS: Monthly remuneration of Rs.18,000 plus HRA
JOB REQUIREMENTS: To conduct research in the area of Fluid foods including dairy foods, Vegetables Processing Technology, Fermentation Technology, Enzyme Engineering and Technology, Downstream Processing,
QUALIFICATIONS FOR JRF: M.Sc./M.Tech. in professional courses i.e. Food Science/Food Technology/Food Process Engineering/Post-harvest Technology/Dairy Technology/Dairy Microbiology/DairyEngineering/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Nanotechnology/Biochemical Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Fermentation Technology/Animal Products Technology/Horticulture with post-harvest technology specialization with 55% marks.
DESIRABLE: Experience in handling analytical equipments like HPLC/GCMS/Fermenter/Pilot plant (Vegetable and Dairy Processing) etc. and proficiency in computer applications.
AGE: Upper age limit is 28 years (5 years relaxation for Female/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped Candidates) as on the date of interview. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
The eligible and interested candidates desirous to work in the project must bring a copy of bio-data giving Name, Permanent and Correspondence Address, Name of Father and Mother, Telephone Numbers and E. Mail address, details of educational career (starting from High School or equivalent) alongwith original and attested copies of mark-sheets & certificates of educational qualifications and also of any research or other experience. Please also bring NOC from Employer/University, if working already and a latest passport size photographs at the time of walk-in-interview.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
  1.          Position is purely temporary, time-bound and co-terminus with the project.
2.            There is no provision for re-employment after termination of the project.
3.            The engagement can be discontinued due to administrative reasons.
4.            The candidates attending the walk-in-interview will not be entitled for TA/DA
5.            Eligible candidates must be present 30 minutes before scheduled time on the date of interview to complete necessary formalities.
6.            Selected candidate will be medically examined prior to issuing the offer.
7.            The decision of the BHU will be final and binding in all aspects.
