Walk-in-Interview
PROJECT TITLE: Monitoring of re-introduced gaur in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, Madhya Pradesh.
POST: Junior Research Fellow

DURATION: 2 years.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: Masters degree in Wildlife Science/ Environment Management/Ecology/ Environmental Sciences
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION: Research experience in radio-telemetry, vegetation quantification and animal census techniques
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project aims to monitor the re-introduced gaur in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, Madhya Pradesh.
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. The age of the candidate shall not be more than 28 years for the advertised position of JRFs as on 30th October 2011 . Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years, as in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically handicapped categories.
2. Selected candidate for the position of Junior Research Fellow will be paid consolidated emoluments of Rs. 12,000/- per month. In case of NET qualified candidates (UGC/CSIR) for Research Fellows, the Selected JRF will be paid consolidated emoluments of Rs. 16,000/- per month and in case of NET qualified (UGC/CSIR) candidates with Professional P.G. Degree, he/she will be paid consolidated  emoluments of Rs. 18,000/- per month as fellowship.
3.Selected candidate may be allowed hostel accommodation at the institute, as per availability. Where the hostel accommodation is not possible, house rent allowance (HRA) will be paid as per the rules of the Institute. Other allowances and benefits to the research personnel would be admissible as per the rules of the Institute, amended from time to time.
4.The selection of the candidate will be based on Walk-in-Interview to be held on Monday, 31st October 2011 at the Wildlife Institute of India, DehraDun. The registration will begin by09:00 A.M. onwards.
5.Canvassing in any form is liable to rejection of the candidature.
6. Candidates should bring the duly filled-in applications with attested true copies of testimonials of educational qualifications, research experience, extra curricular activities, date of birth etc., along with copies of mark sheets of all examinations . All original documents should be produced at the time of registration.
7. One way travel expenses will be paid to the candidate, selected for the project. The expense will be limited to actual 2 nd class rail/bus fare by the shortest route from his/her place of stay/residence.
8.The Institute will not provide accommodation for candidates appearing for the interview.
9.The application form can be downloaded from the Institute’s website www.wii.gov.in .
10.The Director, WII reserves the right to reject any candidature in view of incomplete information provided by the candidate or for any other reason.
