Scientist post at ICMR

Indian Council of Medical Research

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the following post purely temporary basis under the Secretariat of National Apex Committee for Stem Cell Research and Therapy under the Head of the Division of Basic Medical Sciences, Indian Council of Medical Research. Ansari Nagar, New Delhi.

NAME OF THE POST: Scientist –C (1)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: i) 1st Class Master’s degree in Zoology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ or equivalent degree from a recognized University.

Or

2nd Class M.Sc/ Zoology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology or with equivalent degree plus PhD degree in the related subject from a recognized University

ii) Four years R&D experience in the related subject after obtaining essential qualification (i)

AGE LIMIT: Not exceeding 40 years relaxable up to 5 years for government servants and SC/ST/OBC candidates in accordance with the instructions issued by the Department of personnel and Training from time to time in this regard.

EMOLUMENTS: Consolidated -Rs. 41396 +HRA (Rs. 6660/-)

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION: i) Doctorate Degree in Zoology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology or equivalent degree from a recognized University for candidates with first class relevant degree

ii) Additional Post Doctoral Research/Teaching experience in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/Cellular and Molecular Biology/ Stem Cell Research in recognized institute (S)

iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business intelligence Tools/Data Management, Bioethics,issues related to Stem Cell Research and Therapy.

NOTES: PhD degree in subject relevant to Indian Council of Medical Research shall be treated equivalent to three years experience.

The post is purely temporary, extendable on six monthly basis up to maximum duration of three years. The appointment is terminable with one month notice from either side. The selected candidate will have no claim for regular appointment under ICMR, Benefits of provident fund, CCA, leave concession; Medical Claim etc. are not admissible. No TA/DA will be paid for attending interview.
